The Story

High in the Andes of Peru's Cajamarca region, the Cenfrocafé cooperative brings together over 2,000 smallholder families who farm organically by tradition as much as by certification. At these altitudes—above 1,400 meters—frost is a real risk, but the payoff is beans with extraordinary density and sweetness. Fully washed in mountain spring water and slow-dried on tarps at altitude, this coffee delivers a mellow, velvety cup: vanilla bean sweetness up front, a caramel mid-palate, and a fleeting jasmine-like floral note on the finish. Our go-to recommendation for anyone new to specialty coffee.
