The Story

Marcala was Honduras's first Denomination of Origin for coffee, and for good reason. Nestled in the department of La Paz at elevations above 1,300 meters, the region's cloud forests create a micro-climate where Catuai and Bourbon varieties develop slowly over nine months. Our lot comes from the COMSA cooperative, a group of indigenous Lenca farmers who practice agroforestry and shade-growing. Fully washed and dried on raised beds, this coffee delivers toffee sweetness, crisp red apple acidity, and a citrus zest finish that brightens any morning routine.
